National School of Public Health

For 25 years in the NOVA University of Lisbon and with more than 50 years of history, the National School of Public Health (ENSP-NOVA) is a reference institution in post-graduate teaching, research and the creation of value for the society in the area of public health, three of our mission?s pillars.

By responding to current public health challenges and opportunities and with a recognized and qualified teaching staff, we offer teaching of excellence and rigorous programs continuously designed and assessed by partners and employers.

We develop highly competitive and innovative scientific research via our Public Health Research Centre (CISP), focused on the creation of knowledge that can be placed in service of the improvement of the health of populations. Currently, the school also integrates the Comprehensive Health Research Centre (CHRC), the new research centre in the clinical, public health and health services areas, recently appraised as Excellent by the Foundation for Science and Technology. This is a recognition of the quality and dynamics of the science we develop and another step in the sustained growth of our research.

As in Public Health, we are multidisciplinary and recognized in various areas, namely: epidemiology, health economy, promotion of health, policies and management, occupational and environmental health.

The success of our students and our partners is our success.

The National School of Public Health (ENSP-NOVA) offers Master level, and specialisation training in many public health areas.
